My name is Jon Pinkney. I am age 35, I work for the NHS and I am a golf fanatic, and all round sports nut.

After losing my sister in law Vicky suddenly to a pulmonary embolism I am about to embark on a challenge to celebrate her her life, and to raise money for Thrombosis UK. This blog with chart my journey  from beginner cyclist to undertaking the challenge in 2018, along with a group of my best mates.

The ‘High Peaks & Sore Seats Charity Challenge‘ is going to be a 3 day event where we cycle from Holyhead in North Wales, down to Dolgellau, Carmarthen, Brecon and finally home to Ebbw Vale, and scale the Welsh peak of Snowdon, Cadaer Idris and Pen Y Fan along the way.
